Officials said an intoxicated 24-year-old with a previous drunk driving conviction this year led police on an early-morning chase in Wauwatosa Sunday,

July 12.

According to reports, 24-year-old Andrew Brumage faces charges of fleeing police and causing damage, second-offense operating while intoxicated as well as operating a motor vehicle after revocation of his license.

Officials said just after midnight, early Sunday, Brumage nearly hit a median, ran a red light and did a u-turn. When an officer tried to pull him over, he ignored him and sped away, sometimes at more than 100 miles an hour. He then smashed into a Qdoba restaurant.

If convicted, Brumage faces more than seven years in jail as well as upwards of $13,000 in fines.
